SMART STICK (HASE)

HASE (healthy assistive stick for elderly) is a smart stick designed to help elderly persons perform their daily life activities like picking up an objectm wearing a medicated sock, etc.

HASE (Healthy Assistive System for the Elderly) is a smart assistive device designed to support elderly users in performing daily tasks independently. The project focused on improving accessibility, safety, and usability through a modular and intuitive design approach.

The smart stick features interchangeable functional heads, including a gripper, sock-assist head, and crane head, enabling multiple daily-use scenarios. A telescopic body allows adjustable reach, while a joystick-controlled mechanism provides ease of operation. Mechanical systems such as lead-screw actuation and gripper mechanisms were developed to ensure reliability, durability, and user safety.
